Hello!
I’m Stacie. Step-mom, dog-mom, soon-to-be cop-wife. I’ve lived a life full of unintended adventures and that makes me crave the weird, the wild and the ultimate memory making moments.
I was born in Long Beach, California, grew up in Elkhart, Indiana, and then settled down in Upstate New York. With my main squeeze, Mark, I hike the highest mountains in my backyard, the Adirondack Park, and in my role as step-mom of two, I try to understand the games of field hockey and lacrosse.
My day job is politics, my night job is craftin’ stuff. I enjoy both, but my ultimate goal is to live in a van and adventure full time.
But I also want a farm full of chickens and alpacas, so I’m not sure how I do both yet.
Our dogs, Dax and Max, are a separate adventure on their own. Daily we feel real raw feelings thanks to these two. As I chase Max around the dining room table for the sixth time to retrieve the ball of socks in his mouth, I feel real raw feelings. And then he puts his entire 75lb body on my lap and I melt.
I struggle with anxiety and it keeps me from moving mountains, but I take shovelfuls here and there and try to be content. I also like to talk about it, because I don’t want to feel alone, and I don’t want anyone else to think they are alone. Loneliness is the pits.
In a nutshell, I am Stacie. Predictably-unpredictable, and I love you to the moon and back. Thanks for stopping by!
